Toms River Police Searching For Credit Card Scammer

Police are looking for a suspect believed to have used a stolen credit card around Toms River.The card was believed to have been lost or stolen on January 21 between 12:30 and 3:30 pm and by 9pm there were 11 fraudulent charges. In addition to charges at multiple Wawa’s, Stop and Shop, and Raceway Gas Station in Toms River and Brick, eight $100 gift cards were bought.

The suspect is described by police as a white male in his 30’s with a dark goatee. He was wearing a tan jacket, jeans, and had a grey knit hat depicting flames. At the time of the criminal activity he was the passenger in a dark colored Jeep Cherokee or similar vehicle.
