The man who is accused of a bank robbery at the First Financial Federal Credit Union last Thursday has been arrested, processed and remains in jail.

Police were dispatched around 1:00 PM last Thursday on a report of a bank robbery at the First Financial Federal Credit Union at the intersections of Routes 9 and 571.

The male suspect presented a note to the teller and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

On Saturday, police arrested Michael Bennett, 31 of Toms River, and transported him to the Municipal Jail for processing without incident.

Bennett was charged with Robbery and was then lodged in the county jail pending a bail hearing in Ocean County Superior Court.
