Tom Hanks has launched a new coffee line, and not only is it a "dam good cup of coffee," it supports a great cause.

The new Tom Hanks coffee supports our troops. 100% of net PROFIT helps our brave U.S. Troops.

"We saw HANKS as a way to support Veterans and military families, as 100% of net profit will go to organizations that have proven to be of great aid to those who have served our country. Good products for good reasons." — Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks, one of my favorite actors, has had a long connection to America's military history. He was heavily involved with projects such as Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers, and he has continued to support veterans and military-related causes over the years.

So the coffee company fits pretty naturally with something Hanks has been involved with for quite a while.

I also think the name is pretty clever. Hanks For Our Troops says exactly what the company is about, while giving you that familiar Tom Hanks connection.

And if you're like me and need that first cup of coffee to get the day going, it's kind of nice when your morning coffee can have a little more purpose behind it.

7-11 is serving Hanks For The Troops Coffee at participating stores, and they are featuring his "fall" blend, "pumpkin brulee". I have had it, and it's good. It's not a strong pumpkin flavor, so if you are not looking for strong pumpkin, this may be the coffee. It has a subtle vanilla taste with it, so I enjoyed this one.
