Todd Frazier, 3rd baseman for the NY Mets and Toms River native has donated $50,000 to the Toms River Field of Dreams. 

The Toms River Field of Dreams will be a park where those with special needs can go to play sports like baseball, basketball, and mini golf! Earlier this year, construction to build the Field of Dreams began at Bey Lea Park. Since then, there have been fundraising events to support the complex.

Now, Todd Frazier from the NY Mets has contributed to the cause by donating $50,000 to the project! He will present the check on July 27th when the Mets take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

This story warms my heart - first, The Field of Dreams and the story behind it is so inspiring. Additionally, it's great to see Todd Frazier so involved with a great cause, and giving back to the community he grew up in.
