Tinton Falls residence uninhabitable after fire Friday
A residence in Tinton Falls was declared uninhabitable after a fire early yesterday evening.
District 36 was dispatched to a commercial building on Apple Street after a smoke odor was detected in the area. C466 arrived on scene and located smoke and fire from the B-side of a single family home at the corner of Apple Street and Springdale Avenue.
C466 requested a re-dispatch and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire. L491 and E178 arrived and deployed 1 3/4 hard lines to the second floor interior of the residence.
Assistance was provided by L290, R186, R486, E376 and the Sea Bright-Rumson RIC and the fire was quickly extinguished.
There were no firefighter or civilian injuries.
