Is Now The Time Finally For A Cracker Barrel To Come To Ocean County?
Is Now The Time Finally For Cracker Barrel?
Let me first begin by saying there is nothing better than an independent, local, original restaurant. You find a unique food, decor, and style. I love finding restaurants that bring their "own" take "to the table". Yes, that was a completely planned pun and yes I know you just kinda said to yourself "That's a pretty darn good pun". This being said, I think you get where I'm coming from however when it comes to a "national chain" restaurant I will continue to bang my barrel and push for a Cracker Barrel to come to Ocean County.
When it comes to building a Cracker Barrel in Ocean County, there are three towns that would be perfect for a Cracker Barrel. Toms River, Manahawkin, or Brick Township are all perfect, in my opinion, to be home to the first Cracker Barrel in Ocean County. All three towns have large populations around them. All three have plenty of real estate to house a new Cracker Barrel. All three are easy to get to from other parts of the state and they have a decent amount of vacationers who visit the area.
I always think when I travel that every remote rural area outside of New Jersey has a Cracker Barrel, yet we don't see a path forward to bring the barrel to Ocean County. I will be driving hours in the middle of nowhere and there is a Cracker Barrel every 30 miles lol.
For those who say "Why Cracker Barrel?" it's because it's simple, just plain and simple comfort food, a good cup of plain ole' coffee, a cool vintage gift shop, and yes their biscuits and cornbread! That's it nothing more, nothing less and every so often it makes for a great meal out.
Here is the link to reach out and petition Cracker Barrel to come to Ocean County and I want dibs on the "live remote" when they have their grand opening in Ocean County.
