TRENTON (AP) -- Precipitation has ended across New Jersey, leaving little snow and minor flooding. Unseasonably warm temperatures dropped into the 30s overnight and blustery winds blew across the state. The National Weather Service says Sussex County received about an inch of snow.

TOMS RIVER - A would-be house burglar is on the loose in the township this afternoon. Police tell WOBM News a woman inside her Holiday City Silverton home confronted the suspect as he tried to enter through a bedroom window around 1:30 PM. He's described as a white male in his 20s, seen holding a crowbar as he ran down Church Road. Toms River Police can be reached at 732-349-0150. 

PLUMSTED - Police in Plumsted are looking for two men who allegedly beat a woman and sicked a pit bull to attack her. Reports say 40-year-old Shaun Hunt and 26-year-old Andrew Dockery Junior are charged with second-degree aggravated assault in last Friday's incident. Warrants have been issued for them. The woman suffered severe wounds to her neck, head, arm and face and was taken to a hospital in Trenton where she underwent surgery to repair facial wounds. The pit bull has been turned over to animal control.

TUCKERTON - Two Tuckerton police officers involved in a fatal shooting have returned to work after an investigation by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office. Reports say Brian Olsen and Justin Cherry were cleared in the shooting death of 35-year-old Steven Theoharides on the evening of September 15th after he threatened them with a knife. The case heads to the state Attorney General's office for review.

LACEY - A Lacey teenager wins $100,000 in a Dr. Pepper tuition giveaway contest. 18-year-old Josh Dawson won by tossing 18 footballs in 30 seconds during halftime of the Atlantic Coast Conference championship college football game in Charollote North Carolina Saturday. The Ocean County College student smoked his competitor who only tossed eight.
