It's a new dark chapter in the story of the drug epidemic wreaking havoc on New Jersey communities near and far and the devil is running rampant.

Three more New Jersey residents are now behind bars for their calculated scheme, play to pour massive amounts of drugs, including Heroin, into Ocean County and Atlantic County.

Their arrests come as the result of a multi-law enforcement agency investigation that was looking into the distribution of Heroin, Fentanyl, Meth, and Cocaine in these counties, as announced by Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.

In this probe, Prosecutor Billhimer said that "Detectives from the Ocean County Prosecutor's Narcotics Strike Force collaborated with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas-Monmouth/Ocean Post of Duty (HIDTA/MOPOD) Group 5, United States Drug Enforcement Administration Aviation Unit, United States Department of Homeland Security, New Jersey State Police - Trafficking Central Unit, New Jersey State Police Hamilton Barracks, Stafford Township Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit, Toms River Township Police Department, Berkeley Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Lakewood Township Police Department, Point Pleasant Borough Police Department, Lacey Township Detective Bureau, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gang, Gun and Narcotics Task Force, Atlantic County SWAT, Hamilton Township Police Department, Atlantic City Police Department, and Atlantic City SWAT" were involved and it led to several discoveries.

First, investigators found where the drugs were coming from and learned that three residences were being used to store the narcotics -- two homes in Mays Landing and at another in Atlantic City.

Then, on August 18, the Detectives set up a sting, with both mobile and stationary surveillance, outside the homes.

Out came 27-year-old Khaadim Abdullah of Mays Landing who ventured off to Little Egg Harbor Township but en route, Prosecutor Billhimer said that he was spotted on the Garden State Parkway by the New Jersey State Police from the Trafficking Central Unit and New Jersey State Police Hamilton Barracks and the U.S. D.E.A. Aviation Unit.

Abdullah then hopped off the parkway and drove along a dirt road in Galloway Township, got out, took off on foot, and tossed everything into the woods as he ventured away.

Police arrested him a short time later and without further incident.

Meanwhile, detectives executed court-authorized search warrants at the three aforementioned homes, Prosecutor Billhimer said,  and that's where they found a combined amount of "approximately 14 ounces of methamphetamine, 3,550 wax folds of heroin, paraphernalia indicative of narcotics manufacturing and distribution, a stolen handgun, and $14, 900 in United States Currency."
