Thirteen men charged, one on the run in New Jersey stemming from massive Heroin and Cocaine operation
There are 12 people behind bars and one currently on the run but all facing decades in prison for their roles in a massive drug trafficking operation that also included firearms offenses.
All 13 men involved in the scheme have been charged for running this drug operation in and around the city of Trenton in New Jersey, as announced by U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger.
Jamal Wilson, aka “Vill,” of Trenton and Theodore Meekins, aka “Meech,” of Trenton, were charged in a 16-count criminal complaint, according to Sellinger, and ten of the defendants were arrested on Tuesday "as part of a takedown coordinated by federal and local law enforcement authorities."
Attorney Sellinger said that Alterrick Livingston, 42, of Trenton, was arrested and charged today in a separate one-count complaint after law enforcement executed a court-authorized search of his Trenton apartment and found "five privately made firearms, two fully drilled frames, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and numerous tools and accessories used for manufacturing and assembling firearms."
This is all a culmination of two-years worth of an investigation by law enforcement including an FBI Task Force comprised of multiple agencies and officers who were looking into drug trafficking crimes taking place in New Jersey, specifically with this case, in the Trenton area.
Attorney Sellinger said that in July of 2020 law enforcement began looking into the areas along Garfield, Cleveland, and Logan Avenues in Trenton even going undercover and buying narcotics from the man who were later arrested and charged.
Law enforcement also seized several shipments of unlawfully trafficked narcotics, Attorney Sellinger said, which included suspected Heroin, Cocaine base, and a firearm in a vehicle driven by Meekins -- a previously convicted felon.

It turned out that Wilson was the big mastermind when it came to the drug trafficking of heroin, cocaine, and cocaine base and he targeted the areas of the Grand Court Villas apartment building as well as along East State Street and South Olden Avenue and the Garfield Avenue playground, among other areas.
Wilson was eventually charged, according to Attorney Sellinger, "with three counts of distribution and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, including 100 grams or more of heroin, 28 grams or more of cocaine base, and additional quantities of cocaine," while Meekins was charged with "distribution and possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon," and Livingston was charged with "possession of ammunition by a convicted felon."

Everyone else involved was charged with some level of distribution or possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, including heroin, cocaine base, and cocaine.
Attorney Sellinger added that as part of the arrests and investigation, "law enforcement conducted a court-authorized search of Livingston’s Trenton apartment, and recovered multiple firearms, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and numerous tools and accessories used for manufacturing and assembling firearms."
Most, especially the ring leaders, face up to 40-years in prison for their roles in the drug trafficking operation.
Attorney Sellinger said, that, "the charges of distribution and possession with intent to distribute 100 grams of heroin and/or 28 grams of cocaine base carry a statutory mandatory minimum term of imprisonment of five years, a maximum potential penalty of 40 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $5 million. The remaining narcotics charges carry a maximum potential penalty of 20 years in prison, and a maximum fine of $1 million. The firearm and ammunition counts with which Meekins and Livingston are charged each carry a maximum potential penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine."
