These Ocean County Stores Will Stay Closed On Thanksgiving

As the heart of the holiday shopping season is about to rear its head with some stores pushing their Black Friday hours all the way into Thanksgiving Day, there are a number of national retailers with locations in Ocean County who have vowed to stay shuttered on Thanksgiving to allow their employees to spend the day with family.

A lot of retailers could make a big deal out of pushing the best deals of the season into Thanksgiving Day, some retailers have committed to forego what could be a big business day out of consideration to their employees.

Here are a few stores with local locations who will stay closed next Thursday:

• Barnes & Noble
• Costco
• Gamestop
• Home Depot
• Lowe's
• Marshalls
• Petco
• PetSmart
• Staples

This is a list of national retailers who have confirmed that they will remain closed next Thursday, by the way. There are of course plenty of local stores that will remain closed as well. It's definitely a good idea to find out in advance if you insist on going shopping on Thanksgiving!
