New Jersey's Best Lasagna

It is one of the most popular Italian dishes in the world. The classic  "lasagna". The definition of this delicious recipe is (Merriam-Webster) "pasta in the form of broad often ruffled ribbons, a baked dish containing layers of boiled lasagna, and usually cheese, a seasoned sauce of tomatoes, and meat or vegetables."

Obviously, these definitions don't do the meal justice because the combination of tomato sauce, melted cheese, seasoned meat, and pasta makes this recipe so tasty. Add to this some nice bread, salad, and wine and you have the perfect dinner.

Lovefood did a recent article that gave us a look at the best lasagna in America, including where to go in New Jersey for the BEST lasagna. So for the best lasagna in New Jersey, you have to go to Hudson County. In North Bergen Lovefood recommends Trattoria La Sorrentina. They are "known for its brick-oven pizzas and seafood dishes, but the Lasagna Napoletana is its best-kept secret. It’s made with ricotta, mozzarella, and a meat and tomato sauce. Customers say it tastes like an Italian nonna made it."
