A major website has chosen the best view in New Jersey, and the spot they picked does offer some gorgeous scenery, but there is one problem. A big problem.

The view chosen as the best one in the entire state by the folks at Cheapism is a great view. The only problem is it isn't a view of New Jersey. Care to take a guess what it's a view of?

It's a view of the New York skyline. We love our neighbors in New York, and we don't dispute the absolutely breathtaking view of the skyline. It's not only one of the most iconic in the country, it's among the most famous in the world.

None of that is in question. What is in question is whether or not our best view should be of something in our state. It should, right? The Garden State is home to some of the most beautiful sights on the planet.

I can't help but think of an amazing sunrise in Point Pleasant Beach or Asbury Park as great examples. Even though that's an excellent place to start, the great views don't end there.

Yes, the view from Castle Point in Hoboken is stunning, and if you would like to experience it for yourself, just make your way to the Stevens Institute of Technology campus. It's free to enter.

We also suggest you wake up early one morning this summer and catch a sunrise in Point Pleasant Beach. It's a different kind of beautiful than the skyline, but it is still breathtaking.
