The Kohr’s Frozen Custard In Silverton Has Closed

There wasn't much fanfare around this surprise closing, but it would seem that the standalone Kohr's Frozen Custard location on Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of Toms River is closed permanently.

The "closed" status is reflected on their Yelp page, and if you search Facebook, this post comes up from as far back as February:

Calls to their listed phone number also come back with a recorded message that the number is no longer in service.

The Hooper Avenue Kohr's only opened in 2016.

Of course, you can still get your frozen custard fix on the boardwalk as the original Kohr's (which, yes, is a different business from the "Kohr's Frozen Custard Inc" that was the "Kohr's" of the Silverton location) celebrates their 100th anniversary this year.
