Two Shootings and Stabbing Reported
Shootings two days in a row and a stabbing in Neptune during the Memorial Day Holiday weekend remain under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Two people were injured last night during gunfire near Sewall Avenue shortly after 11 p.m., according to the Asbury Park Press.
On Sunday, around 10 p.m., Neptune police said a shooting on Myrtle Avenue left two Asbury Park men in their 20's with non-life threatening injuries. Also on Sunday, about two hours earlier, an 18-year-old Asbury Park man was knifed during a fight on Fisher Avenue.
Authorities confirmed there were two large gatherings in the area of Sunday's incidents, but it hasn't been determined whether the shooting and stabbing were related.
