Brick Township Police are investigating an accident involving a motor vehicle and a dirt bike that injured two teenagers on Wednesday evening.

A 14-year old driving a 2002 KTM Enduro Four-Stroke Dirt Bike with a 16-year old passenger southbound on Lanes Mill Road near Millbrook Road when he struck a white 2016 Acura MDX that was slowing down and about to turn left onto Millbrook Road, police said.

The impact of the crash sent both teenagers off of the dirt bike.

The 14-year old driving the dirt bike fled the scene on foot following the crash but was located later on by police at his home.

In addition to Brick Police responding to the scene around 8:42 pm, they were joined there by EMS.

The 16-year old who was a passenger on the dirt bike was brought to Jersey Shore University Medical Center where he was treated for undisclosed internal injuries.

The 14-year old dirt bike driver also sustained undisclosed internal injuries.

The driver of the Acura, 65-year old Daniel DeJianne, and his passenger, 65-year old Diane DeJianne, were both uninjured in the crash.
