Taking a drone by demand. A Long Branch man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened a Target employee with a hammer Saturday around 6:14 pm on State Highway 66 in Monmouth's Ocean Township and stole a drone.

Police say after the employee removed a drone valued at $999.99 from a locked cabinet in the electronics department that he requested, 29-year old Junior Manasse grabbed it and fled while brandishing a hammer.

Police Officers Brendan Bernard and Zach Rhein found him in the parking lot and took Manasse into custody after a brief struggle.

He's charged with Robbery, Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Resisting Arrest.

On top of that, Manasse was charged with Shoplifting from an incident that occurred the day before.

He was brought to the county jail pending his initial court appearance.
