Suspect hunt grows in Tuesday gunshot murder in Atlantic City
An Atlantic City man's bullet-riddled body is found on a city street, and a search for suspects intensifies.
Anthony S. McCrae, 28, was pronounced dead in Atlanticare Regional Medical Center at 9:39 PM, within 20 minutes of the discovery of his body on the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner.
Atlantic City police fielded 911 calls about gunshots at about 9:18, the same timein which a ShotSpotter alert was issued for the area, authorities said.
Results of today's autopsy determined the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death as homicide.
Investigators strongly urge witnesses to step forward. There are several ways to supply information.
