I know Pete Glenn mostly through his time as a volunteer assistant basketball coach at Point Pleasant Boro High School, something he has done for many years with enthusiasm.  His profession for as long as I can remember has been a loan officer for several different mortgage companies and he’s just one of those good guys who you are happy to see, always with a smile on his face and a warm greeting.

Well earlier this year Pete had a very serious fall which led to a severe spinal injury which required two surgeries.  That was only the beginning as he’s been in and out of hospitals and rehabs for much of the year and his recovery will take a lot of time and effort.  Friends have rallied and are doing all they can to get him back on his feet.  For months they have been planning a fundraiser to show their support and this Sunday is Friends of Petie G Sunday Funday Football at the Shore House in Point Pleasant.  It all starts at noon and admission is $25 which also gives you a sheet of raffle tickets for all kinds of prizes. They'll be good and drinks and football from noon to 3pm.

The idea is to support Petie on his journey to better health and at the same time enjoy football at the Shore House with friends and neighbors, especially those from Point Pleasant and Brick where he lives.

As I said Pete is just one of those good guys who is dealing with a bad break and support from the local community will mean so much to him.  If you have any questions you can call Pete Glenn direct at (732) 278-2574.
