Abs is almost 14 and I'm loving all of it even the teenager eye roll.🙄

So, every night or almost every night I write in a journal, words of wisdom for Abby...well my words of wisdom because if I try to tell her everything now, she won't listen. But I'm hoping one day she'll pick this up and read it. Anything that comes to mind, from washing the dishes and touching chicken is OK even though I hate it. Sometimes it's as simple as you were cranky today, moodiness, just growing up stuff. When she maybe puts the phone down, when she's older-- she might just read it.

Leading up to her 14th birthday in 16 days I'll share some excerpts from the journal. Maybe it's something you can do for your child or grandchild. It's memories, fun and maybe not so fun times, learning lessons, silly things, and just our life together.

-We went to Friendly's and you were out of control. You sat with your friend and you threw french fries. Not cool - respect, Abby.

-You're so good at laughing at yourself, always stay that way.

-You got a B on that Science test, awesome.

-Put a new roll of toilet paper on because your husband won't always remember and you'll be stuck without toilet paper at your finger tips-don't forget. (I forgot I wrote this one, LOL)

-You looked at me while I was making a taco for you and you said, "thanks for being here." --this meant the world to me.
