I love this idea!  Students at Ocean County College are rallying together for canned goods for their fellow students at OCC.

Bills, bills, and more bills. Being a college student is tough, and being without food is even tougher. Some of the students thought it would be great to start their own food drive for students that need it according to patch.com.

Food insecurity is something students worry about on college campuses all over the country. Students at Ocean County College are helping fellow students with creating "Helping Hands" Ocean County College's food pantry. The pantry is open now and is available to enrolled OCC students who are in need of help.

For students that are in need please stop by the Jon and Judith Larson Student Center located on the main campus of OCC. Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. You need your student ID for food at the pantry.

Most food donations are from students and staff at Ocean County College, but they always need donations. Donations can be made payable to Ocean County College and "Helping Hands" in the memo spot on your check. Non-perishable food items are always being accepted right on campus, so please help out if you can.

Checks can be mailed directly to Ocean County College, Office of Student Life, P.O. Box 2001, Toms River, NJ.

Great job to the students helping out other students, it's inspiring and incredible to know that your generation is doing wonderful things.
