Storm Damage Closes Monmouth County Fair On Sunday

Damage from strong thunderstorms has closed the Monmouth County Fair one day early.

Fair organizers made the announcement early Sunday morning on their website and Facebook page. The Fair closed early on Saturday night at 9:30PM.

“We are very sorry to report that the Fair will not open on Sunday due to heavy damage to tents and the grounds from a thunderstorm that rolled through Saturday night,” read the announcement.

The Fair’s opening was delayed by strong thunderstorms on Thursday night as well.
