Would You Like To See A Stew Leonard’s Supermarket In The Toms River Area?
I have always found it interesting when a grocery store is more than just a place to pick up milk, bread and everything else on your shopping list.

Some stores actually give you an experience while you are there, and Stew Leonard's is definitely one of those places.
If you have ever been inside a Stew Leonard's, you probably know what I mean. There are fresh foods, prepared meals, bakery items and plenty of things to look at, but you will also find plenty of entertainment along the way.
In December 1969, Stew Leonard's opened its first store in Norwalk, Connecticut. It was about 17,000 square feet and had just eight products and seven employees.
That little dairy store would eventually grow into a pretty big grocery business.
There are currently two Stew Leonard's locations in New Jersey, one in Paramus and one in Clifton.
Would YOU like to see a Stew Leonard's here at the Jersey Shore? I sure would love it. Time will tell if we see additional Stew Leonard's grocery stores here in the Garden State, but it would be a great addition here at the Jersey Shore.
I had a chance to talk with Stew Leonard Jr.
According to their website, "When we lost our son Stewie in a drowning accident in 1989, we decided to do everything we could to prevent other families from experiencing the same tragedy. We started the Stew Leonard III Water Safety Foundation, leading us to write 2 books and raise $6 million for water safety awareness and education."
