Police in Stafford Township have arrested the suspect behind a string of recent stolen Christmas items.

Officers caught The Grinch stealing a Christmas Tree Friday afternoon around 2:30 pm from a lot at Reynolds Garden Shop & Floral Market.

Police pulled up and ordered the Grinch to put down the tree.

He was then placed under arrest and charged with attempting to steal Christmas.

The arresting officer was Patrolman Woodring.

At this time Mr. Grinch is in custody of Stafford Police.
Stafford Police Chief Tom Dellane said that at the request of Santa, Grinch will remain in custody and must follow Santa Claus as he makes his routes throughout the Ocean Acres section of town with the Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company #1.
