Somebody Drove Right Into The Toms River 7-Eleven
I'm not sure if drive through 7-Elevens exist anywhere in the country but I can tell you this much - the 7-Eleven at the corner of Main and Water Streets in downtown Toms River is not one, but that didn't stop a driver from going right through the front of the store:
According to Toms River Police it happened just before 5pm yesterday when a 48-year-old from Florida said that her flip flop may have slipped off her foot, causing her to hit the gas instead of the brake.
Thankfully, nobody was hurt and the damage was pretty minimal, with just one panel of glass broken, the NJ Lottery machine getting a little banged up, and a sunglasses display getting plowed into.
It actually came as a bit of a surprise when I got the heads up on the vehicle vs. plate glass window incident. As you may know, the WOBM offices are right on the opposite corner, and I didn't hear a crash or emergency vehicles.
From the looks of it, it may have been just a little "love tap" that could have been much worse!
