Social media tips drive Barnegat shoplift suspects to Stafford PD
STAFFORD - Waves of response to a pair photos on the Stafford Police Facebook page brings to headquarters two people suspected of walking off with about $1,200 worth of goods from a township supermarket.
Anne Marie Lock, 32, and Carol McCall, 41, of Barnegat, turned themselved in Sunday in connection with the incident that took place November 16 in Shop-Rite, according to township police.
The post simply sought identifications, with an e-mail destination to Patrolman Allen Jillson, but no mention of a crime, or of why they were sought.
Both were released to await municipal court proceedings on charges of shoplifting, and conspiracy to commit shoplifting.
Charges are accusations. Defendants are presumed innocent unless, and until, found guilty in a court of law.
