So is $3.40 a Day Worth it to Travel the Garden State Parkway Through Ocean County, New Jersey
I have the same commute basically each weekday, Monday through Friday, to come into work at 92.7 WOBM. I travel the Garden State Parkway from Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor (Exit 58) to Toms River (Exit 82).
So basically I travel 25-30 miles a day one way or 50-60 miles a day round trip. . It costs me $1.90 a day to travel the parkway. So 95 cents each way. So the question I’m asking is …. Is it worth the price to travel the Garden State Parkway?
Listen to Shawn Michaels mornings on 92.7 WOBM and download our free 92.7 WOBM app.
So maybe your asking, Shawn in the title you said $3.40 a day, where did you get this number from? Welll if you travel from Lakewood to Tuckerton/Little Egg Harbor you will have 75 cents (Each Way) in Toms River and $1.90 (One Way SB) in Barnegat so $3.40 a day. That’s a $1.70 each way for the length of Ocean County.
I think to be honest it’s a bargain to spend to $3.40 a day to travel through Ocean County …. Both ways. You have so much less traffic, no stopping and starting (except for occasional slow downs due to volume or accident), save gas ⛽️ traveling at a consistent speed and of course you make better time …… plus rest stops if you need.
Now don’t get me wrong I liked 25 cent tolls a lot better but hopefully we won’t see any toll hikes in the near future, but for now I think the price is right for a nice smooth ride on the Garden State Parkway…..
