Yes, I recently had the worst experience at a restaurant right here at the Jersey Shore. It was so bad that I thought Governor Murphy himself would burst through the doors and arrest everyone for not following the rules.

I made the mistake of going to a buffet in Freehold on Saturday evening. Yes, I understand that people are very comfortable with dining during a pandemic, and that is all fine and dandy. Still, maybe they should think about those who are just dipping their toe into dining indoors during a horrible pandemic that has costed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

I should preface this by saying that it was not the restaurant management's fault; they followed the rules. It was utterly the patrons of the restaurant. They were not social distancing, not wearing a mask when in front of buffet food, and some people where even coughing and not covering their mouths.

This is what is going to get us in the doghouse again. Governor Murphy has said explicitly that he would close the inside of diners and restaurants also if the numbers went up.

I watched (in horror) as a person walked up to the buffet table and used his fingers to grab food, without a mask.

I am not a Karen (or Kyle), but wow, I was undoubtedly channeling it while I was sitting at that table.

After this experience, I do not recommend anyone with a pre-existing condition to dine indoors; if other places are even as half as bad as this place, it is very dangerous.
