A recent report from GOBankingRates analyzed U.S. Census Bureau data for towns with 500 to 15,000 households in every state, according to msn.com. From that, they pinpointed the wealthiest small town in each state and then ranked them nationally. Out of the entire country, New Jersey’s entry landed an impressive 6th place.

So, which town holds this golden title? Drumroll, please… it’s Lyons, NJ, where the median household income is a staggering $245,226.

I’ve never been to Lyons myself, but I love that New Jersey made the list. We’re a small state with a lot of surprises and a lot of pride.
