The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is dispensing the funds through its Community Disaster Loan program. The money covers ongoing expenses such as wages for police, firefighters and teachers.

  • Keansburg, $3,954,766
  • Atlantic Highlands, $2,108,876
  • Little Silver, $1,829, 324
  • Oceanport, $1,154,931
  • Sea Bright, $1,297,273

FEMA activated the Disaster Assistance Direct Loan Program in New Jersey on Governor Christie's request. Recipients are forbidden from using the loans for capital projects, or as a cost share for any federal grants.
