I can't tell you how many times I've stopped at Wawa and thought "Man, it would be great if they had a drive-thru."

Dreams do come true - as the convenience store is planning on adding a drive-thru window to their upcoming location in Westampton, according to the Asbury Park Press. A quote from the article explains that the idea came about because of Covid-19 and "as a way to provide new ways to access Wawa." More information from the article shows that the drive-thru would have a limited menu that includes coffee, smoothies, soups, sizzlis, and hoagies, and it would be open from 6 am - 8 pm, and that the store will dedicate some parking spaces for Curbside Pickup.

I think this is an amazing idea. There are just some days where you don't want to leave your car, like when it's raining or snowing or just plain cold in the winter. A drive-thru would be perfect for this. Also, you would avoid having to find a parking space if you stop for coffee on your commute to work!

The only downside I can potentially see is that it would reduce the number of parking spaces, according to the Asbury Park Press. But, if more people are using the drive-thru, then those spaces won't be needed.

There are currently no plans to add this service to any other Wawa. If this is a success, would you like to see a drive-thru window at Wawas at the Jersey Shore?
