Should This Policy Be Changed for Toms River Schools?

Toms River School District does not allow students to bring water bottles to school?  I find this strange..although I understand the concerns.  I had know idea!

It was discussed last night at the School Board Meeting according to tomsrivershorebeat.com, to possibly ban the policy and allow students to bring a water bottle to school.

Everyday my daughter takes her water bottle with her and she drinks it through-out the day at her desk.  I truly believe it helps her.  I realize she's only in 5th Grade and probably they don't have the "problems" they might have in high and middle schools...but I feel we have to trust kids to a certain point.  I would hope that no one will break the trust for the sake of the other students.

Do you agree, should students be allowed to bring in water bottles?
