The U.S. Armed Forces are currently working hard in the Ukrainian waters of the Black Sea for Exercise Sea Breeze.

The U.S. joins 18 other countries in the massive military exercise.

Among the thousands of military members taking part in the exercise are two Jersey Shore natives who took a moment to send a shout out back home:

Point Pleasant, New Jersey

 

Howell, New Jersey

 

The U.S. Navy Office of Community Outreach describes Exercise Sea Breeze as focusing on, "...multiple warfare areas including maritime interdiction operations, air defense, anti-submarine warfare, damage control, search and rescue and amphibious operations."

The 19 countries that are involved in the Black Sea exercise include; Bulgaria, Canada, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States.
