Bring your questions about the preliminary flood risk maps to federal and state officials during shore open houses that start Thursday.

FEMA and New Jersey environmental regulators lead the informal sessions in Monmouth County,Thursday at the Manasquan Elks Lodge, and Friday at Henry Hudson Regional High in Highlands.

Open houses in Ocean County take place February 25 at the Ocean County Administration Cafeteria in Toms River and on the 26th at the Southern Ocean County Service Center in Manahawkin.

All take place between 4 PM and 8 PM. They're coordinated through the New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium, Monmouth University's Urban Coast Institute, Stevens Institute of Technology, and Leckner Consulting, along with local, state and federal government officials.

Sessions are also scheduled in Atlantic, Middlesex, Essex, Gloucester and Bergen Counties.
