Linden 49, No. 1 Manasquan 41 (OT)
Sophomores Darius Adams and Griffin Linstra each cracked double-figures, but the Manasquan offense went cold down the stretch in an over loss to Linden.
Adams finished with a team-high 11 points, while Linstra posted 10 points and nine rebounds for Manasquan, which managed only two points in overtime after scoring seven in the fourth quarter.

Junior Peter Noble scored 15 points but the Colts could not keep pace with Impact Christian in a season-opening loss for CBA.

Sophomore Zayier Dean put up 27 points, six rebounds and six assists to overcome another big statistical performance by Point Beach senior Kevin Burns as the Spartans held off the Garnet Gulls.
Burns scored a game-high 37 points -- including 16-for-17 from the free-throw line -- along with eight rebounds and six assists to follow-up his opening-night triple-double in a Point Beach win over Pinelands on Thursday.
Senior Brandon Loughlin added 16 points for Ocean while sophomore Ron Richardson posted 12 points, 12 rebounds and five assists in the win.
Shore 59, Wall 25
Seniors Liam Gajewski and Richie Studer each scored 14 points and the Blue Devils coasted to a road win over the Crimson Knights.
Monmouth 60, Freehold Boro 44
Senior Jake Bauer scored 18 points and classmate Ta'haj Wiggins added 15 to go with 12 rebounds as the Falcons erupted during the third quarter to pull away from the Colonials with a win in their home opener.
Freehold Boro took a four-point lead into the second half before Monmouth seized control with a 23-4 run during the duration of the third quarter.
No. 6 Rumson-Fair Haven 63, Long Branch 52
Sophomore Luke Schorr drained seven three-pointers on the way to a game-high 25 points and the Bulldogs raced past the Green Wave to win their season-opener.
Junior Nick Rigby added 11 points and six assists for Rumson, while senior Bruce Gooding led Long Branch with 18 points.
Middletown North 55, Manchester 49
Junior Jason Quardt scored 20 points and the Lions topped the Hawks to give first-year coach Eric Youncofski his first career win.
Senior Cam Hickey drilled four three-pointers for a 12-point outing and senior Mac Colantino added 11 points for Middletown North.
Senior Evan Weiner led Manchester with 12 points while senior Javion Glenn and junior Josh Love each chipped in 10 in the loss.
No. 4 Jackson Memorial 51, Jackson Liberty 44
Senior Respect Tyleek scored 21 points and classmate Keith Adame threw in 16 to lead the Jaguars to a win over the rival Lions.
Jackson Memorial stormed out to a 21-3 lead by the end of the first quarter, led by three three-pointers and nine points from Adame.
Jackson Liberty clawed back to within single-digits by the third quarter, led by 21 points with 12-for-15 shooting from the free-throw line by sophomore Jayson King.

No. 5 Freehold Twp. 58, Summit 36
Senior Jayden Holmes-Cotter scored 26 points and inhaled 13 rebounds, sparking the Patriots to a victory over the Hilltoppers for the 400th career win for Freehold Township coach Brian Golub.
Senior James McCarthy added 12 points and seven rebounds, while senior Malachi Harris pitched in nine points, six assists and three steals for Freehold Township.
Monsignor Farrell (N.Y.) 50, Red Bank Catholic 42
Junior Tyler Burnham scored eight of his 13 points in the third quarter and classmate Colin Cavanaugh scored all 10 of his in the fourth, but the second-half scoring punch from the junior duo was not enough to carry the Caseys (0-2) on the road against Monsignor Farrell of Staten Island.

Toms River North 50, Moorestown 48
Junior Micah Ford scored 14 points and the Mariners (2-0) held on to top the Quakers in a showcase setting at Cherokee.
Senior Delani Hyde added nine points and seven rebounds, while junior Tareq Council chipped in seven points and nine boards and junior Jeremiah Pruitt contributed seven points, seven rebounds and five steals.
Ford and Pruitt combined for six free throws down the stretch to seal the game and Ford blocked a shot in the final minute to secure the win.
