The Freehold-based owner of a mold remediation company is sentenced to a 364 days in jail for hiding hundreds of thousands of dollars in income from state tax filings.

Philip R. Kossoy, 49, operator of Absolutely Spotless Home Cleaning Professionals, heard his sentence today in the Monmouth County Courthouse. He's also required to serve two years probation.

Kossoy pleaded guilty in November, admitting that he concealed income from state gross income, sales and corporate taxes between 2008 and 2011.Investigators said that he deposited more than $1,000,000 in personal bank accounts under someone else's social security number.

According to information from the office of acting New Jersey Attorney General John Hoffman, Kossoy has already paid the state about $1,100,000 in unpaid taxes, penalties and interest.
