I live and play in Southern Ocean County, and I love the Mainland Adventure Park and Kitchen & Pub at 151 NJ-72 in Manahawkin.

You may remember when this location was something else, and Mainland's team has done a great job at upgrading it to a high-quality restaurant and playspace with an arcade, go-kart track, zip lines, aerial courses, and more. The arcade has games you just won't find everywhere, and overall, it's clean, safe, and fun for kids of all ages (even those of us who are occasionally kids at heart):

• The play fort is for ages 4-10.
• The climbing wall has three climbing routes, but the first level is appropriate for ages 4 and older.
• Aerial adventure trails and the zip lines are for ages 7 and older.
• They offer double and single go-karts, with 4 years old as the minimum age to ride as a passenger in a double go-kart.

Mainland Adventure Park has the best go-cart track in Ocean County. I recently went to goof around with some coworkers, but my wife and I also enjoy the food served at Kitchen & Pub, too. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area with fire pits, and some parents might find themselves relaxing with a beverage while keeping an eye on their kids.
