Search begins for suspect in Lumberton murder

A Lumberton woman's death is ruled a homicide, and a search is under way to find her killer.

The body of Shannon O'Rourke, 45, was found Wednesday in her home on Nassau Road, according to information from the office of Burlington County Prosecutor Robert D. Bernardi.

Investigators have not yet released details of circumstances that led to the discovery, or those surrounding her death.

Lumberton police and detectives in the Prosecutor's Major Crimes, High-Tech Crimes and Crime Scene units take lead roles in the investigation.
