Scenes From Today's Veterans Day Parade In Toms River, New Jersey
The streets were lined in Downtown Toms River for the annual Veteran's Day Parade. Red, White, and Blue bathed the streets of Toms River as many organizations participated in the annual parade to say THANK YOU to our veterans here in Ocean County and the Toms River area.
The parade started at the Toms River Shopping Center on Route 37 and traveled south on Main Street and then east onto Washington Street. The Toms River Veterans Day Parade 2024 ended at Toms River's Town Hall, 33 Washington Street.
A post-parade ceremony took place in front of Town Hall, featuring speakers and honored guests. In addition, they honored the intermediate and high school students who won the annual Veterans Day essay contest. The ceremony also included a rifle salute and the placing of a wreath on the veterans' monument. The grand marshals for the 2024 parade were U.S. Army veterans Arnie Boyle and Bob Tweer, and U.S. Navy veteran Lou Vella.
The weather was perfect and it was great to have so many folks take the time to come out and say THANK YOU to veterans from the area and actively serving. There was also a nice showing of students who are involved in various ROTC organizations from the area.
Take a look at our mega gallery from today's event and again thanks to those who participated in the parade and those who came out to cheer them on. THANK YOU to our veterans :)
