Same-Day Bank Job Artists Caught on Camera in Toms River
Two men who robbed a bank each within an hour and a half in Toms River Friday remain outside the law today. However, township police have found revealing glimpses of their faces on surveillance video.
Delivery of the one-two punch began at around 4:36 PM, police said, at the TD branch on Mule Road.
A suspect described as a black male in his late 20s or early 30s pushed a note toward a teller, got cash, and took off on foot.
Witnesses say he wore a green jacket with the hood up, a wool cap and sunglasses.
While detectives rounded up information there, they caught word of a robbery at the Santander branch on Route 37 East.
The description given was of a white male in his late 20s or early 30s who also disappeared on the run.
Detective Randy Petrick is heading the investigation. If either photo strikes a note of recognition, he can be reached confidentially at 732-349-0150, extension 1235.
