Running (and walking) For A Cause
There is not enough time for me to list all of the philanthropic efforts Dave Wintrode has taken part in either by himself or though his Causeway Family of Dealerships which proudly occupy a big part of Route 72 in Manahawkin, going back to when there was not too much on the roadway. Causeway has become linked to charity because they do so much for the community through their Ford, Lincoln, Honda, Hyundai and Nissan dealerships.
That led to the creation of Causeway CARes, which offers resources and support to local non-profits throughout Ocean County for issues like homelessness, food insecurity, education, senior and veteran’s needs and more.
That takes us to the 8th Annual Causeway CARes 5K run and walk which takes place at Southern Regional High School on Sunday, October 12th. The first seven of these has raised more than $300,000 for local charities with Fulfill Project Home Repair and Meals on Wheels the recipients of this year’s proceeds.
They are still looking for sponsors, runners and walkers. Entries must be done online and the cost is $40 by September 30th with the first 250 registrants guaranteed a t-shirt. You can get sponsorship information and register by visiting www.raceforum/causeway.
The Causeway Family of Dealerships continues its mission to improve the lives of others so join them on Sunday, October 12th for their 8th annual 5K run and walk.
