Rolling Dice To Support Military Families

The first weekend of February might appear to be a quiet one as it is the weekend before the Super Bowl.  However there will be plenty going on that Sunday, (February 5) as Dine On Us hosts a Casino Night at Aqua Blu on Route 37 in Toms River.  It’s actually a Casino Day as the event will run from noon until 5pm. Either way it’s a major fundraiser for Dine On Us who provides off-base dining and entertainment opportunities for our active-duty military families.

These families, many of whom are from different parts of the country, do not have the financial means to do things most of us take for granted.  Family pizza nights, date nights, going to the movies are entertainment options they can’t budget for and that’s where Dine On Us comes into play.  They provide what it takes so these families can get off the base for a night…even giving them gas cards and groceries at times.

Tickets for the Casino Night are $60 in advance and $75 at the door and that includes a full buffet, a complimentary glass of beer or wine, $50 in gaming chips and music from a DJ.  There will be prizes like gift baskets, a silent auction, sports memorabilia and more and all proceeds will go to Dine On Us whose motto is “We have your families back, while you’re out their protecting ours.”
