Report of woman falling into lake in Brick unsubstantiated
Brick Police started and quickly ended the search for a woman who reportedly fell into the lake in the Lake Riviera section of the township on Friday afternoon because no one fell into the lake.
It was around 12:45 this afternoon that emergency personnel responded to a report of a person who had fallen into the lake.
Police say the report was made by a female who was later found to be suffering from a medical episode.
The Pioneer Hose, Breton Woods, Laurelton, and Point Boro fire companies responded with their dive teams to search the lake and Brick police deployed a department drone to assist in the search.
Brick detectives then determined that no one had fallen into the lake and the search was terminated.
Everyone cleared out by 2:08 pm.
