Preschoolers raise over $800 for American Cancer Society in Manahawkin
We instill in our students the importance of helping those in need, and we are honored to be able to practice what we teach ~ Colleena Lieter from the Learning Experience
This is a great "feel good" story! Kids helping families in need. Children from the Learning Experience in Manahawkin took part in the Relay for Life in Stafford Township recently and raised hundreds for cancer research.
More than 50 participants from The Learning Experience were part of event activities including the Opening Ceremony, Survivors lap, Caregivers lap, Luminaria Ceremony, and the Closing Ceremony. Through this selfless act of giving, the littlest citizens of Manahawkin were taught a lesson much bigger than themselves, that spread hope throughout the community. The pre-schoolers raised nearly a thousand dollars!
We applaud the effort by these "tiny tikes" as they help the American Cancer Society battle this terrible disease! There are "4" "Relays" happening this weekend in Toms River, Jackson, Howell and Middletown.
