I was in this store just this weekend and the shelves were empty.

I was like, "What's going on?" Apparently, they're closing this store and another store just like it is replacing it.

I've seen a couple of people write about this store closing on different Berkeley Township and Bayville Facebook groups, but I couldn't believe it.

The shelves were so empty so I ask, "What's going on, are you getting re-stocked soon?" She says, "no."

My total surprise, this place we're at almost twice a week, "WHAT?"

What popular store is closing in Bayville, NJ?

It's the Dollar Tree in the Baywick Plaza on Rt. 9. It's been there for years and now it's closing down.

What's replacing the Dollar Tree in Bayville, NJ?

Family Dollar is replacing the Dollar Tree. We already had a Family Dollar and I thought it went out of business in the ShopRite plaza, south on Rt. 9 a little bit.

I'm not sure why Family Dollar would be coming back and we can't just keep our Dollar Tree. We already have two Dollar Generals in Bayville, within walking distance from each other.

The Dollar Tree was great, everything was $1. Cards, birthday stuff like wrapping, and paper plates, that was the perfect spot for some great, cheap stuff. I don't think I ever went to Family Dollar, so I'm not too sure about it.

What do you think about this? Are you sad to see the Dollar Tree leaving? It's pathetic if you walk in now, but check it out, there might be something in there left over that you can grab before they close.
