If you're missing a grave marker where your loved one is buried at Whiting Memorial Park, police believe the man pictured could be the reason why.

John H. White who police say has multiple addresses to his name in Manchester, Jackson and Lakewood is charged with theft, desecration of venerated objects and criminal mischief following a month long probe.

In total, Manchester Police say White is accused of taking about 500 bronze grave marker vases worth over $100,000.00 from Whiting Memorial Park on Route 530.

Staff members told police they noticed the missing vases on Valentine's Day.

They also informed the responding officer about 700 vases have been stolen worth about $175,000.00.

Even further investigation revealed White allegedly stole about 3,000 pounds of bronze, or about 494 vases, to two local scrap yards sometime around January 24.

Approximately 450 vases were recovered as a result of the investigation.

White has been charged but remains on the run in the midst of the ongoing investigation.
