When people talk about trendy food towns at the Jersey Shore, towns like Asbury Park and Red Bank get lots of buzz and accolades

But what about the lower profile but just as outstanding Garden State food destinations?

NJ.com set out to name almost two dozen "great food towns that no one knows about" to give some of those under the radar destinations some love.

Included on the list was Ocean County's very own Point Pleasant Beach.

The article singled out Joe Leone's as, "one of the state’s best Italian delis", gave a shout out to Spano's (which was just named one of the best in the whole country recently), and named Hoffman's "one of the state’s most highly-regarded ice cream shops", among the standout Point Beach food stops that got name dropped.

Other Jersey Shore towns that made NJ.com's list include Bradley Beach, Belmar, and Keyport.
