Since 1994, Coastal Habitat For Humanity has changed the lives of hundreds of families throughout Monmouth County. For example, the organization has completed 18 single-family home construction projects, repaired over 40 homes impacted by Superstorm Sandy, and renovated 190 homes through the Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. They simply do incredible things, and now we have the opportunity to not only help them but we can also help our veterans & state police! More details are below...

This is going to be an awesome day! Get ready for the Patriot Polar Plunge...

The Coastal Habitat for HumanitySea Girt 5k Committee, and Sea Girt Recreation invite you to plunge into the freezing Atlantic Ocean for a great cause! Funds raised at this event will benefit the Coastal Habitat for Humanity L.I.F.T. (Local Initiative for Troops) Fund. The L.I.F.T. Fund was launched in 2019 with a donation from the Sea Girt 5K and continues to assist veterans with critical home repairs and improvements at no cost. L.I.F.T. funds have enabled Coastal Habitat for Humanity to install grab bars and railings, widen walkways for wheelchairs, mend porches, apply fresh paint and install egress windows. This event will raise funds for, and awareness of, this incredible program...In addition... The Sea Girt Patriot Polar Plunge on Feb. 5th will be in memory of NJ State Trooper, Sgt. Juan Fajardo. His story is below...

In early November we tragically lost Juan Fajardo who was a neighbor, a friend, and one of the most incredible people we knew. Juan just turned 41. He had a wife he adored like none other, and three beautiful children ages 5-12.  He was a state trooper and a national guardsman. Juan had the Governor’s security detail person. Juan coached kids in soccer and football, he had a fantastic sense of humor and was one of the most caring people we've ever known. And....the "Girt" military beach was his happy place too! Make a difference below...
