We love chain restaurants. I know, we love family owned businesses, also. But several chain restaurants are owned by families.

It's possibly a weekly thing or monthly dinner out for a family to enjoy dining in a restaurant we all know and love and their prices are usually affordable and it's a place the whole family loves.

It's always strange, especially if they're popular and there is always a line waiting to get in the door when you hear about one of these favorite places closing.

What restaurant chain is closing several locations across the US?

When you hear Bloomin' Onion, what do you think of? It's of course, one of our favorites, the Outback Steakhouse.

Is one of our favorites closing in our location in New Jersey. I guess time will tell. We will have to wait and see if any of the Outback's near us in Ocean and Monmouth County will close.

Bloomin' Brands, the owner of Outback Steakhouse and several other popular franchises says it will close dozens of our favorites later this year.

The sad news from CNN, Outback Steakhouse will be affected more than any other franchise. The others are Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, and Flemings. I've never been to a Flemings, so I have no clue what that restaurant is. There are two Flemings in New Jersey. One in Marlton and one in Edgewater.

The reasons for the closing of locations is because of different factors, including sales and they're too costly to improve the locations, according to CNN.
