Two Atlantic City men have been charged in the August 27 murder of Deshawn Dawkins near South Virginia Avenue that was set-up as a robbery.

Atlantic County prosecutors released photos of Bashawn K. Whitted-Scott, 25, and Brian S. Richardson, 26, who remains on the run.

Both of the accused are charged with First degree Felony Murder, First degree Robbery while Armed Resulting in Death, Second degree Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Second degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Second degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.

While Whitted-Scott is in custody in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, Richardson remains a fugitive at large.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
