Pizza is a topic I think everyone enjoys and whenever I write about pizza it seems you at home enjoy the stories and find the info delicious. This time around my story may or may not be your kind of thing. It's all about eating pizza and it's a lot of pizza.

Let's talk pizza eating and some numbers regarding "pizza-eating" trends here in America. These numbers are according to blog.slicelife.com:

  • Americans eat an average of 46 slices of pizza per year (packaged facts, New York). This amounts to 23 pounds of pizza per year.
  • Americans eat 350 slices of pizza per second
  • Americans eat 3 billion pizzas per year, for a total of $38 billion spent by Americans annually on pizza
  • Americans eat 3 billion pizzas per year, for a total of $38 billion spent by Americans annually on pizza
  • Every day, 13% of the population eats some form of pizza In the US, a whopping 17% of restaurants are pizzerias (Food Industry News)
  • New York City has 9,000 pizzerias

Wow, those are some staggering numbers! So as you can see we have a good topic here "pizza-eating"

 

 

 

 

So let's talk about the pizza challenge at Pete & Elda's in Neptune with Carmine's Pizzeria. It's like John Candy in the "Great Outdoors" with the Old 96er. It's a challenge some just can't pass up, are you up for the challenge?
